International Education Week 2019

St. Philip’s College observed International Education Week from November 18-21 to promote and celebrate international education. SPC hosted a variety of events at the MLK and SW campuses that exhibited internationalization, global learning, education abroad and celebrated cultural diffusion. Additionally, students, faculty and staff were encouraged to wear traditional clothing that represents another culture throughout the week.

“It is neat to see the different cultures represented around campus, it encourages us to be proud of our roots,” says Alicia Abrego, biology student.

An array of food samples were available during the International Food Tasting event that featured games, information tables and a Folklorico performance.

The week of events led up to the Parade of Nations which displayed over 40 flags from countries around the world. The procession was led by students, staff and faculty.
