Christina Horton Interim Dean for Student Success

Christina Horton has been appointed Interim Dean of Student Success.

 

Her SAC career began in 2005 and she has served in several roles, most recently as Director of Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the President. Prior to that responsibility, she served as Director of Advising, as well as Advising Team Lead, Adjunct Counselor and Student Development Instructor.

 

In addition, Horton has served the SAC community in a variety of important assignments, including the District Equity and Inclusion Council, the Strategic Quality Enhancement Committee and the Strategic Enrollment Committee. Most recently, she was named SAC’s Caring Campus liaison and served as chair of the Mascot Committee.

 

Horton earned a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a bachelor’s in psychology at Our Lady of the Lake University.
