Education:

MPhil Psychology, Walden University

MS Psychology, University of Phoenix

BS Psychology, University of Phoenix

AA Psychology, University of Phoenix

Preference:
Seeking to be a mentor to those who feel underprivileged. I want to offer my experience with poverty while pursuing educational goals to students who may be experiencing a similar academic journey. Helping students navigate the complexities of the culture shock that comes with integration into college

Experience:
I have been an instructor at Northwest Vista College for over 5 years. I teach general psychology and biological psychology at NVC and the WETC center. I have over 5 years of experience developing online courses via Canvas at NVC. I have designed and built the current online biopsychology course from the ground up and plan to develop it further.

Bio:
I come from a traditional Mexican/Hispanic background, from parents who lacked a traditional education. I am a first-generation college student. My life experience with education involved pursuing education online while being a teen parent. I come from a low socioeconomic background, and I am interested in working with students from an underprivileged background who aspire to be more than what's expected of them. Those who aim to achieve more than their circumstances allow and those interested in the pursuit of "greatness".
