    High School Program Graduates

This year, the Alamo Colleges District is proud to celebrate the graduation of more than 11,000+ students across our five colleges, including nearly 1,500 AlamoPROMISE Scholars and 950 high school program graduates who earned their associate degrees or certificates before they have walked the stage at their high school ceremonies.

These students represent the heart of our moonshot—partnering to end poverty through education and training. They are future nurses, engineers, educators, and entrepreneurs. They are dreamers who have turned opportunity into action.

This milestone comes during a year of historic wins for our district, including record-breaking enrollment and national recognition as a two-time Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient. Our commitment to student success continues to lead us on our path of excellence and creating opportunities to support our students on their educational journeys.

Let’s congratulate this year’s Alamo Colleges District graduates and wish them all the best as they pursue outstanding achievements and accomplishments.

A District for the Community

There is no Alamo Colleges District without the community of individuals making this city great-our relatives, friends, and neighbors who we are exceptionally proud to serve.

We are the largest provider of higher education and workforce training in the seventh largest city in the United States.

Our five colleges, education and training centers, and early-college high schools are cornerstones to our ongoing goals of educating a populace of strivers, doers, and dreamers who work to better themselves and each other every day.

No matter where you are in San Antonio, you're within a twenty-minute drive from a district campus or center.

Whether you're seeking a certificate, workforce training, an associate degree, credits to transfer to four-year institutions, or even a bachelor's, the district has what you need to develop your knowledge, build your career, and better your life.

Together, we can empower our diverse communities for success and fulfill our moonshot of ending poverty through education and training.

“My plan wasn’t always at the Alamo Colleges, but I had quickly discovered how expensive college can be. Through my family and counselors, I learned about AlamoPROMISE and I took that opportunity and I couldn’t be happier with my decision.”

“There’s room for everyone to lead and succeed at the Alamo Colleges. My advice to future students would be get involved — someone will see your potential and pull you in. That’s how I found my home away from home, found amazing mentors, and discovered the power of my voice.”

“AlamoPROMISE made pursuing higher education much more possible. I come from a single-parent household, and I have three brothers, and we didn’t have a college fund saved up. It is a high priority of mine that college is affordable. Now it’s actually possible to pursue college without long-term debt.”

“I’m grateful for the Alamo Colleges, especially San Antonio College, for giving me the tools, support, and confidence to succeed beyond the military. They helped me turn my experience as a combat medic into a career in nursing, and most importantly, showed my son that with hard work and community, anything is possible.”
