  • Immigration matters, such as obtaining F-1 student visas, maintaining full-time enrollment, transferring administration of your SEVIS I-20 record between schools, and traveling outside of the United States.
  • Employment restrictions and options and obtaining work authorization.
  • Information on medical insurance coverage.
  • Providing letters for verification of your F-1 status for various purposes, such as obtaining a Texas driver's license or identification card.

Apply and get accepted to college!

Applying is easy. Visit goapplytexas.org to complete your application. 

Submit an International Student Supplemental Application based on your international student type:

  • New International Student (you’re needing an initial form I-20)
  • Transfer international student (you’re already in the U.S. wanting to transfer your form I-20)
  • Concurrent/transient (you already have an I-20 from another university/college but you do not want to transfer the form) 
  • Other visas (if you have a non-immigrant visa that allows you to study in the U.S.)

Access ACES

ACES is the online center for all of your student information and can be accessed at aces.alamo.edu.

  • You will receive your ACES login information via email within 3-5 days of submitting your ApplyTexas application.

You’ll need to gather and submit several important documents, including:

Orientation and Registration

Celebrate your transition into college by attending your orientation. All international students are required to attend orientation, where you’ll learn how to remain compliant on your F-1 visa. Our International Student Services office is designed to specifically address your needs as an international student.

Make Payment

After you’ve registered, you’ll need to make sure your tuition has been covered by making payments or financial aid to avoid having your classes dropped.
