On February 3, 2025, student leaders from the Alamo Colleges District joined their peers from community colleges across the state at the Capitol for Community College Day.

The event provided a unique opportunity for students to connect with state legislators, gain insight into the legislative process, and advocate for key issues impacting community colleges.

Organized by the Texas Association of Community Colleges, the event brought students face-to-face with their elected representatives, allowing them to share their experiences and discuss the importance of funding for community colleges.

Throughout the day, students heard from higher education leaders, met with policymakers, and gained insight into how they can influence decisions that impact their education.
